Attendees at AAP Connect, The Alberta Association of Physiotherapy’s inaugural conference, were treated to a spirited discussion of ethics when they were in Canmore in November. But why stop the discussion there? Speakers Jacky Chow and Matt Goertzen are joining the College’s Practice Advisor, Sean FitzGerald to discuss the ethical scenarios posed to attendees at the conference, the responses received from conference attendees, and the College’s perspective on these topics.
- Is it ethical for a physiotherapist to direct patients they discharge from hospital to a specific clinic that the physiotherapist trusts?
- Is it ethical for a physiotherapy clinic to book all 21 in-protocol treatments for MVA patients on the patient’s first visit?
