Volunteer Opportunity: Professional Conduct Committee

The College of Physiotherapists of Alberta is recruiting regulated members for its Professional Conduct Committee.

A panel of members from the Professional Conduct Committee are selected to participate in complaint reviews and/or hearings:

  • Reviews – conduct reviews of complaints dismissed by the Complaints Director
  • Hearings – mediate hearings on professional misconduct allegations

Qualifications:

  • Registered on Physiotherapy Alberta’s General Register
  • 10 years of active physiotherapy practice preferred
  • Not the subject of a current investigation at the time of application
  • Have no findings of professional misconduct in any regulated health profession
  • Not a member of any other CPTA committee or board
  • Not an officer, director or senior employee of a professional association or labour union that represents physiotherapists

Individuals appointed to the Professional Conduct Committee must be able to attend training, hearings, or reviews during business hours, Monday to Friday.
