College Privacy Policy

Member personal information
The College collects uses and discloses applicant/registrant personal information to fulfill its mandate to regulate the Alberta physical therapy profession in the public interest. Our privacy policy outlines what information we collect, what the information is used for, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how information is protected and stored. The policy also outlines the process to access and correct your personal information as well as the College’s privacy officer’s name and contact details.

Website privacy policy
cpta.ab.ca was created as a resource for our various stakeholders (e.g., the public, patients, members, Alberta government etc). The site respects visitor privacy and no personal information is collected with general use of this site nor does this site use cookies.

Members’ personal information is only collected if/when entered by the member into the password protected secure member profile section. Information entered is stored and used per the College’s Privacy Policy and per provincial and federal privacy legislation requirements.
